Confirm material against media, temperature and movement — not by name alone.

Compound, hardness, geometry and hardware still determine whether a material is suitable. Use this page as a starting point for an inquiry.

NBR

A practical choice for many mineral-oil hydraulic and general industrial applications. Confirm temperature, fluid and hardness against the actual duty.

FKM

Often considered where higher temperature or broader chemical resistance is required. Suitability still depends on the exact media and compound.

EPDM

Commonly reviewed for selected water, steam or polar-media conditions. It is not a general substitute for oil-service elastomers.

Polyurethane

Widely used in hydraulic rod, piston and wiper profiles where wear resistance and extrusion resistance are important.

PTFE compounds

Used in low-friction, chemical or rotary applications, often with supporting elements. Hardware and pressure must be reviewed together.

FEP and encapsulated options

Used where chemical exposure requires a fluoropolymer barrier around an elastomeric core, typically in static service.
